Some may say, I’m late as all outdoors but trust me — I’ve never been the one to rush into glory.  To be honest, my schedule has been so hectic, the only reason I’ve had the time to sit and write this post tonight is because I’m online shopping for my winter weekend.  *sowwy*

All I can say is OhEmGee!!!!  *insert squeal here*  If anyone in their right mind can honestly say they don’t appreciate the design techniques of Weiss & Lykke at CarmaKoma, they are absolutely BLIND!  Since my introduction to the dynamic Danish duo I have been in complete lust with the site.  Some may call it a girl crush I call it heaven.  After flipping thru the 2010 Spring Look Book, I’ve finally narrowed down my top favorites.

Since winning “Project Runway,” designer Christian Siriano has become one of the fashion industry’s most respected new names. But the young designer says he’d like to see more diversified options for women who wear above a size 8.

At the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show pink carpet in New York last week, Siriano told FoxNews.com that he thinks it’s great that there has been a rising push to include more real size women in fashion.

“I think it’s fabulous,” Siriano said of recent campaigns by magazines like Glamour to include plus size models in their spreads. “I think it’s great and I hope we see more of it.”

Siriano added that, unlike some designers, his line does not hesitate to make clothing for women of all sizes.

I love that Christian is not narrow minded like most in the industry and soon as I get my pennies together I want to commission him to make something spectacular for me.

While browsing the internet I ran into something quite fabulous – Project Curve Appeal!  Project Curve Appeal defines itself as movement – ‘to empower, educate and movitate the curvy queens’.  And I must admit, it looks like a lot of fun!  

When I first started my research on the site, I thought they were a plus size model agency; looks are definitely deceiving.  While they do host the Face of Curve Appeal model call, they seem to have a few other things going on as well.  Project Curve Appeal will be hosting ”A Mini Face Camp & Competition” on December 12 – 13th, 2009 in Atlanta, Ga along side of the Pink Christmas Expo & Fashion Show.  For more information on Project Curve Appeal, The Pink Christmas Expo or on becoming a FOCA go here.

Casting for Plus size Women

Please note this is an open call and we do not require a fee. During the casting someone will be there to greet you with a sign-in sheet and give you an audition number. Following that you will be asked to pose for a snapshot with your number. Then you will proceed to the next room where you will be asked to walk the runway. A designer will be present to take accurate measurement, if necessary. The entire process should not take more than 10 mins per candidate (this does not include wait time).

Please bring the following items with you:
Photos (if applicable): professional shots are not a requirement –
snapshots are acceptable.
Resume (if applicable)
Pair of shoes with heels at least 3 ½ – 4 inches in height (NO stacked
heels, heavy or chunky shoes).
Please wear minimal makeup. Hair must be as natural as possible and in
excellent condition.
Clothing: wear something simple that shows your figure and makes you feel
confident!

**Note there will be no call backs or other auditions. Models chosen will be contacted during the first week of September.
