There is no doubt that Plus Model Magazine is a leading source in the plus size fashion industry. Last week, the magazine’s You Tube channel premiered a campaign video encouraging all of their fellow curvy fashionistas to demand fashion for the curvy girl.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when fellow blogger Monique from Curves and Chaos started an anspiring petition to plus size retailers to use models that were more like us.. well it seems that although the road is long and the process has a very long way to go, I am proud that every now and then there is a retailer that challenges what is acceptable marketing and pushes the limits.Â
A few days ago, plus model Asia Mone’t was announced as the new face for Le Mystere’s Captivating Curves full fit collection. Asia is the first plus size model and “G” cup to be featured in the collection.Â

Over the years I have grown to really love international designers and the work they are putting in to keep curvy fashionistas fabulous. Among my favorites are Australia based City Chic and Carmakoma. Back in February, I had the pleasure of adding another Australian based company to that list – Bennetts Boots. Bennetts Boots are designed for wide calves and they are super sexy! They have about a dozen styles that can take you from casual to night life. And the technology used in their design is definitely impressive. Bennetts Boots offer a full lining that helps prevent sweating and odors; some extra cushioning in the sole to provide added shock resistance and full zippers!
