Hey dolls! Happy Monday!!

It seems like the first full week of May was the unofficial release of “white” plus-size look books. Designers and retailers alike introduced us to some amazing options. One retailer that is known for their summer white collection is Ashley Stewart. Each spring Ashley Stewart brings in their classic linen collection along with some eye-catching trendy pieces that you can mix and match to suit your personal style. Last week the social media manager for Ashley Stewart was kind enough to send us over a copy of their White Party Look Book.

This look is fun! It is an all white ankle tie jumpsuit paired with a sleeveless denim vest. It’s perfect for a summer BBQ or even a casual date night. The options are endless. You can dress it up with the perfect wedge or high-heel sandal or throw on some cute tennis shoes.

Hey Dolls, I’m bacccccccccccccck! Two post in one day, but I couldn’t resist! No soon as I hit the publish button on my post featuring the new t-shirt collection from Curves Rock Fashion Weekend, I found an email from Monif C. Plus Sizes announcing her 2013 White Collection!

I literally experienced multiple emotions in one breath. I was UBER excited to see what Ms Clarke had up her sleeve, I mean she did just release a collection about a month ago. But I was also like “well, damn — I went live with ALL WHITE EVERYTHING yesterday”, like that really matters. lol! The good thing is, in yesterday’s post I did say “thus far”! Plus designers are dropping collections that work and if we continue to support them…guess what – they will continue to design. As usual, I’m swooning.

I am giving Monif C.’s White Collection, honorary mention for ALL WHITE EVERYTHING; well two of her dresses have a twist!

Curves Rock Fashion Weekend T-Shirts

Hey dolls!

As most of you know, I am BIG on supporting events within the plus-size community. Last July, I traveled to Maryland for the 1st annual Curves Rock Fashion Weekend. The show was great and the networking was truly amazing. This year’s event is scheduled to take place, July 25th – July 28th. I am excited to see what in store for this year’s event.

Anywho, back to the reason for this post. I was doing my normal day-to-day social media stroll and I spotted a t-shirt with the quote “Dope Curvy Chic”. Well hell, that is certainly me, lol. The shirts were designed by the founders of Curves Rock Fashion Weekend along witht he help of plus model Liris Crosse. There are currently three t-shirt designs available for purchase. I am unsure of the fit (most likely it is a ladies fitted style) or the measurements for the XL and 2XL sizes. My advice, should you decide to purchase one, is to use your better judgement. I am currently a size 18/20 stretch top. My bra size is a 44c and I would purchase a 2XL – as I would rather be safe than sorry.

All White Everything

Hey dolls!

I cannot believe we have finally crossed into spring-like temperatures. The days of sundresses are soon to be upon us! With the preparation of summer also comes a host of all-white events, including the ever popular, guaranteed to sell out All White Curves at Sea Cruise hosted by DeVoe Signature Events during Full Figured Fashion Week (r).

As you can imagine, I have been on the hunt for the “perfect” ensemble. I already have a vision of what I would like to wear, so more than likely I will be calling in a favor from one of my favorite designers. *wink* White options for those of us who have to shop in the plus-size section can be extremely limited. The one thing I keep reminding myself is that, no two people look exactly the same in the same dress. Our body are shaped different. Our taste in accessories will be different. So even if ten women show up to an event in the same dress — often times no one really knows except for those who are wearing it!
