It seems that the excitement for Full Figured Fashion Week^TM by DeVoe Signature Events is well under way. If you’ve have not had the opportunity to check the schedule, you may want to head on over to the official website. Oh Snap… a Shop & Swap!

I was asked recently why does The Curvy Spot share post from other bloggers and so many different plus-size companies, the reason is simple. When Nikki & I started The Curvy Spot, we wanted to be that one blog that you could come to to find out what EVERYONE else is doing. Besides that we have love for a lot of people and more importantly we support our own. Between the two of us we probably read at least a hundred different blogs from all over the world. It’s how we stay in the “know” from the latest fashion trends to what’s happening around the globe… and let’s get real – could we really be the Page Six of all things CURVY, if we did not know what was going on or shared the info with our readers???

So, I know you are wondering, why is Kim sharing all of this with us — well because some of my FAVORITE bloggers have branded together for a Shop & Swap presented by Kellie B of Fatshion Insider! I am like dumb excited, not because I love a good deal (which I do) but because this is such a great chance for their readers (myself included) to hang out and ask questions… and more importantly find some good deals (oh wait, I said that already), lol. The 2012 FFFWeek™ Spring Preview

Last Friday (3/30/12), while some of the plus-size industry traveled down the turnpike to experience Atlantic City, a handful of us were invited to the MTV taping of the spring preview for FFFWeek™ 2012 hosted by none other than the wonderful team of DeVoe Signature Events. The atmosphere was amazing. The mid-town Manhattan loft featured low-lighting that gave off a sense of intimacy that you expect to receive at an exclusive event. The audience was wow’d with upcoming fashion from Jill Alexander, Donna Morgan & The Queen Grace Collection.

Since the taping is scheduled to air in a few weeks, and we love to provide you guys with the sense of mystery (hey it makes the wow factor better) – I will only be sharing some behind the scenes photos.

Full Figured Fashion Week 2012 – @fffweek is looking for a vlogger!!!

Full Figured Fashion Week is in search of a Fashion Video Blogger who has an interest in plus size fashion, along with experience in wordpress, social media and all web 2.0 areas to create a weekly vlog.

The following is required:

Examples of previous videos that have been published; YouTube videos are acceptable, ones published on blogs/sites are preferred
Experience with all aspects of WordPress, Tumblr and its workings
Able to produce a video of at least 5 mins long every week – we can be flexible on publication day
Must be well-spoken, have knowledge of fashion industry, and present well on camera
Candidate will be compensated per video, one video every week. Payment will only be made via Paypal
Candidates who have a lot of â€˜pull/influenceâ€™ with their social media
Profiles and are willing to post/retweet their videos every week will be given preference also. They can in return provide a backlink from their site to yours.
